Apple Crisp Recipe
Great choice to keep kids occupied; this recipe is a classic fall dessert that is easy to make. Feel free to use a different type of fruit in this recipe. This dish is best when warm with a scoop of vanilla.
- 6 cups tart apples thinly sliced and peeled
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
- 0.25 tsp ground ginger
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving
- Chopped nuts, such as pecans or walnuts optional
Preheat the oven to 375°F or 190°C.
Combine the apples, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in a large bowl.
Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
If desired, sprinkle with chopped nuts.
