Banana Pudding Recipe
This is a fantastic pudding option to try out! You can use different types of bananas to make this dish and a variety of toppings. Be sure to have some vanilla wafers on hand to bring out the pudding flavor.
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 cups whole milk
- 6 ripe bananas mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 sleeves of Nilla wafers
Whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, salt, and cornstarch in a large pot.
Gradually add in the milk, whisking until everything is combined.
Place the pot over medium heat and cook the mixture, frequently stirring, until it comes to a boil.
Once the mixture has thickened, add in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is combined.
To assemble the pudding, layer the Nilla wafers and banana pudding in a glass dish.
Start with a layer of wafers, followed by a layer of pudding. Continue until you reach the top of the dish.
Serve immediately or store in the fridge for later.
