Pizza Dough Recipe
This perfect pizza dough recipe is easy to follow and make. With just a few ingredients, you'll be well on your way to making delicious pizza at home. Remember to be selective in the flour you use, don't overwork the dough, and add some flavor to it.
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
In a large bowl, combine the water and yeast. Stir until the yeast is dissolved and let sit for 5 minutes.
Add the flour, olive oil, salt, and sugar to the bowl and stir until everything is combined.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
After the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured surface and shape it into a 12-inch circle.
Preheat your oven to 500°F or 260°C.
Place the dough on a greased pizza pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Remove from the oven, add your favorite toppings, and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes.
Serve with a side of marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Pizza dough can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Be sure to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap so it doesn't dry out.
Pizza dough can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before using.
