Pie Crust Recipe
The classic pie recipe is an easy recipe for a traditional pie crust. You can use this recipe to make either a double or single-crust pie. This pie crust recipe is perfect and an all-timer. Try out this fantastic homemade version of the classic pie crust recipe!
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter or 2 sticks, cut into cubes
- 6 tbsp ice-cold water
Add the flour, salt, and sugar to a food processor and pulse to combine.
Add the butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add 6 tablespoons of water and pulse until the dough comes together. If the dough is too dry, add additional water 1 tablespoon at a time.
Divide the dough in half and shape each into a disc. Wrap the dough discs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
When ready to use the dough, let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to soften slightly.
Roll the dough out on a floured surface to a thickness of 1/8-inch. Use the dough to line a pie dish and trim the edges.
