Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter or 2 sticks, cut into cubes
  • 6 tbsp ice-cold water

Instructions
 

  • Add the flour, salt, and sugar to a food processor and pulse to combine.
  • Add the butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add 6 tablespoons of water and pulse until the dough comes together. If the dough is too dry, add additional water 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Divide the dough in half and shape each into a disc. Wrap the dough discs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  • When ready to use the dough, let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to soften slightly.
  • Roll the dough out on a floured surface to a thickness of 1/8-inch. Use the dough to line a pie dish and trim the edges.
